Mr. Lau (aged 51) has medical history of hypertension and peripheral arterial disease. Presented with two arterial leg ulcers on right ankle in late July, 2016. However, wound deterioration continued after 4 months of conventional treatment. Surgical Debridement and Right Leg Angioplasty were performed in December, 2016.
Unfortunately, there is no improvement in the healing process despite of the operations. The wound base was covered by a thick layer of slough and biofilm with excessive purulent discharge. Also, the patient had severe pain and poor mobility.
Finally, the case was referred to Nu Pro Nurse Centre for management in late December, 2016. Mr. Lau was amazed by the excellent healing result achieved by the professional nursing team of Nu Pro Nurse Centre. Both wounds were completely healed in 15 weeks!
