Leakage of effluent from PEG site and inappropriate fixation of PEG tube can result in various forms and severe skin damage. In this case, there were skin excoriation caused by leakage of effluent and multiple small infected wounds with slough around the PEG site caused by inappropriate fixation of the PEG tube. The problems identified and addressed appropriately with proper education on daily care and suitable wound care products. Condition improved significantly and all wounds healed in 12 days. The patient felt more comfortable and relieved and which also enhanced the quality of life.
